What if you could see where customers are searching?

What if you could see where customers are searching for real estate before they call to see a property, or apply for a mortgage, or ask about an attorney? Would you keep it a secret?  How could such information be gathered?  It would take a very extensive and very targeted web site.  And with this information, you would have a better idea of how to help yourself be in a position to meet customers' business needs as they start searching for real estate.  It could help you package your loan services, or closing services, or your listings to attract activity.  You might find out why they are starting to look there and plan to invest there yourself - ahead of the appreciation curve.

Well, there are 2 reports that can help you see where people are starting to look for real estate.  Once you know where people are looking, you can use the Internet to research the  whys and decide for yourself if you have the same interests.  REindex.com, The Site Engine® has just produced two reports indicating which states were being searched for real estate in the first half of 2008.  Two versions of the 'Top Ten States Searched For Real Estate' is published twice a year.

The first report REindex.com,The Site Engine® provides, is a public report that shows which states are being searched in general.  It is based on the aggregate visits to each state on REindex.  Customers use REindex to find the websites of real estate listing agents and companies in any specific town.  REindex links to listing agent and company sites by the towns their actual listings are in.  This selective linking helps consumers find more local information faster and more easily, and it helps local listers get more exposure.  Many agents have non-mls listings on their personal websites, increasing customers' interest in finding actual listing agents in specific locations.  The REindex site is free to use and has no logins or registrations for consumers or agents.  The top ten states for real estate searches in the first half of 2008 are NY, CA, FL, IL, PA, IA, TX, OH, MA, MO, TN.

The second report REindex.com,The Site Engine® provides, is a report that is weighted with respect to the size of each state.  The largest states have a greater chance to be in the general top ten report because they have more towns.  But the weighted report helps to indicate areas where customers may have economic and/or social reasons to look for real estate.  Some reasons may be company relocations, tax advantages, or population shifts.  The second report is available by request from REindex.

Every website that REindex.com,The Site Engine® links to has been visited, reviewed, and linked by a human.  It does not use spiders, and the REindex humans do not link to every site.  By making its pages load fast, and by making its links the most useful for consumers, REindex.com, The Site Engine®, is becoming a secret place for consumers to quickly find true local real estate listings and local professionals who know that market.  The information in the reports REindex produces, helps businesses see where customers are searching so customers' interests can be better served.

The first report can be found in the press release section of the REindex.com webite.

Not the Average Agent

I am a part of a program that lets me know what my clients are searching for.  If they tell me they are in the 100k range, but are looking at 200k.  they could be wasting my time or just not telling me everyting

This type of ability is very helpful... especially when you're able to give a call to a current searcher.

I don't think anyone is able to communicate in reverse with surfers, but when they contact you go for it.
