How Many Different Realtors Should Home Stagers Call in a 3 Month Period?

This is my first blog post on active rain. I have just published a survey of home stagers. I will be making comments on some key findings from the survey over the coming weeks. My first comment is below.

For the past ten weeks, I have been engaged in an extensive survey of home stagers across the US and Canada. One of the most surprising findings I made was how few home stagers reported calling Realtors to establish a working relationship.

Perhaps eveyone is on active rain and relying on this resource.

Over half of the respondents to this survey question indicated that they had called five or fewer Realtors in the past three months! 

In my survey analysis, I broke the survey respondents into a number of groups to observe differences between various categories. When looking at this question, it's clear that those who had been in business as a home stager four or more years called from 15 to 60 different Realtors in the prior three months.

But those just starting out for some reason seem to be content with few if any calls. 

In one of the many comments sections of the survey, I may have gotten a clue.  One respondent suggested that they call many more than the 3 they were recommended in their training classes.

I almost flipped when I read that. My guess is someone indicated that one could have a successful business with as few as three regular Realtor contacts. Could it be that newbie stagers are thinking they can get by with marketing to so few?
