Rich, I have loved riding steam trains since I was a kid. My dad had a passion for them and we spent a lot of time in railyards. This sounds like a fun way to spend the day.

Rich, I love these old, cool things to do...and you get a free sightseeing show!  I think the ride itself would be so much fun.

Debbie - Being able to share in your one of your Dad's passions has to be a great memory. My sister actually got married on the Chattanooga Choo-Choo! It is a museum with beautiful rose gardens and a hotel now!

Carole - Real trains are so cool! I used to have all kinds of toy trains as a kid...one even sent up wisps of smoke as it went around the tracks! I have never traveled any great distance by train, furthest I've gone by train is from Barcelona to Sitges.

Rich, this seems like a great alternative to traditional tailgating. I am sure the Tennessee fans take advantage of it.

Danny - It would definitely be a memorable alternative, especially if you only made it to one game a year. Could be a fun, family tradition; that once a year, fall family railgating weekend in Big Orange Country!

I love trains.I used to commute into Boston by train many years ago!

We have scenic train routes here too.They are very popular. They even to a North pole one with Santa in the Winter!

Someday i would love to do an Amtrack tour across country!

Joan - My aunt (who has a fear of flying) and her husband took the train (Am Track) from Massachusetts to Tampa when they were house hunting back in the early to mid 90's. They seemed to have really enjoyed it! Luckily, as retirees they were able to stay in Tampa until they found the right house for them; and have a bit of a vacation, I suspect. Whenever they go to visit family in Massachusetts, they either take the train or rent an RV. With the current gas prices, they will probably be taking the train more often! Santa trains, I bet the kids LOVE those!
