Real Estate Referrals

How do you ask for referrals?  Many agents never do, and many agents do it the wrong way... but that discussion is for another time (besides, if you do a stellar job of representing the clients you have, you'll never have to ask for a referral!).

I want to talk about that blurb every mediocre agent in the nation has on the back of their business card... not sure what statement I'm speaking of???  It should be oh so familiar to you... "The highest compliment I can receive is the referral of friends and family".   Ohhhhh... that!

Beside it being a horrible way to ask for a referral, it is completely untrue! 

THE HIGHEST COMPLIMENT I CAN RECEIVE IS THE REFERRAL OF MY WORST ENEMY!!!  (I'd want them to have to admit, "I hate that guy, but he is the best real estate agent on the planet and you'd be making a mistake if you choose anyone else!"

Take care of business, and business will take care of you.
