Take a Knitting Tour of the Northland - North Kansas City, Missouri; Parkville, Missouri & Briarcliff Village in Kansas City, Missouri

My mother, E. J. Slayton, is a knitter, designer and does editing for a knitting magazine.  http://www.joyknits.com/   She was here to visit recently and we were able to sneak away to take a tour of the three knitting shops in the Northland.

Stitch Knitch

Our first stop was at Stitch Knitch at 1909 Swift in North Kansas City, Missouri  64116.  816-221-2241

We were greeted by one of the shop owners.  She made us feel very welcome.

  Spinning Wheel

Her diplays are feast for the eyes.  There is an antique spinning wheel on display and yarns of all kinds.  There are places to sit and knit with two wing chairs near the front of the store and a work table for classes at the back.  This shop has quite an impressive list of classes which can be viewed by clicking on the following link.  http://www.stitchknitch.com/templates/System/details.asp?id=33941&PG=events&Style=&RecordType=&pkg=

Monday evenings, they have a social knitting time where you can bring in your knitting for help and fellowship.  http://www.stitchknitch.com/templates/System/default.asp?id=33941

What a delicious way to end our tour.  All three of the yarn shops are located within about a 10 mile radius and each offers something different from the others.  It is definitely worth your time to visit each store and see which one is the best fit for you.  Enjoy!
