I remember 2 years ago using Craigslist to market your real estate for sale. In St. Louis the link is http://stlouis.craigslist.org/rfs/ by the end of each day, the list would almost get to 100, which is how many posts make up each page. now, this year, 100 posts are on the real estate for sale link by 10am, and usually has almost 400 posts by days end.
What's that mean? Is Craigslist the ultimate arena to post real estate for sale? or are sellers pulling out all the stops and posting their property any and everywhere? I think that its a combination. In my opinion, the fact that there are now hundreds of posts per day for real estate for sale in St. Louis is an obvious indication of the market.
Craigslist is a popular place, the filters to search through all the postings is a bit weak but craigslist was never meant to be the 2nd MLS. its a basic message board.
Many agents use Craigslist to post their property. Probably closed to 90% of people interested in buying real estate are using the internet to do their research or their search for homes, its become a necessary evil to post to craigslist to try and reach that audience.
Have you posted and gotten a sale or lead off of it?
