Kitchen Clutter

By
Real Estate Agent with Realty Pro Inc
The kitchen is usually very important to prospective buyers. Your kitchen may not be new and state-of-the-art, but it should look its best.

Your kitchen should be spotlessly clean and well organized while your home is on the market. The counter tops should be clean and free of clutter, and the floor should shine. Appliances should be clean and in good working order. You may want to add a few decorator touches or replace cabinets, flooring, and even appliances for a small investment. Dollars spent on kitchen improvements usually pay major dividends when you sell your home. If you are planning to sell your home and need some advice in this area, an agent will be happy to discuss your options with you.

Funny story..... before I do a video tour, I send the agent (who sends the client) a 'to do list' of things to do to get ready for the filming, such as turn on fireplaces, fans, light candles, blah blah...

One of the things that is mentioned is "clear off your refrigerator".

I received a call from a seller last week asking me "what do I do with the milk"?  I said, "huh?".

She misread the page - she thought I said "clear OUT the refrigerator"!  She had totally cleared out her fridge, put stuff in cabinets, closets, etc.!  Cleaned it out.....  and couldn't figure out where to put the MILK!

She was wondering why I would be filming INSIDE her refrigerator....

God...   I'm still laughing, although she probably isn't....
