Many of my buyers are avid golfers who were first drawn to the Pinehurst area because of Pinehurst's history and tremendous reputation. There's no doubt there are many attractive options for homes inside the city limits of Pinehurst that offer residents the ability to obtain a much valued Pinehurst Country Club membership.
However, my buyer clients seeking a golf community are almost always pleasantly surprised when we tour home options in the Mid South Club, located just a couple miles east of the Pinehurst traffic circle off of Midland Road/Hwy. 2 east. Mid South is a gated community with two access points. Lots are slightly larger than many golf community lots inside Pinehurst and many homes are situated on golf front lots or in view of the Arnold Palmer Mid South course. From its balcony you'll find spectacular views of the 1st, 9th and 18th holes. Member residents also have access to a beautiful pool completed in 2007 and tennis courts. Plus, membership includes full access to the nearby Talamore Golf Resort, featuring a well regarded Rees Jones course.
Mid South is definitely in a growth mode. In addition to existing and new single family homes, home searchers will find luxury funrnished golf lodges (flanking the clubhouse), Camden Villas (luxury townhomes), and Champions Ridge (nicely finished cottages).
