12 Comments on Lake Norman's Birkdale Village: Great Shopping, Dining and Homes!
Diane, What beautiful photos! It sounds like Birkdale Village is a place I would really enjoy--there are so many things to do there.
Hi Diane, I am so impressed with Birkdale Village. What a beautiful shopping district. No wonder you love your area. Now compare that to the hundreds of strip malls here, all tan in color and about as interesting as watching mud dry. Come to think of it, the buildings here do look a bit by dried mud, LOL.
Beautiful!
Diane - you have gotten so good at these, and what a neat area to learn about. Love your photos, as always.
Jeff
Diane,
The developers have done a beautiful job with this village. In fact, the village concept is so appealing and makes living there very convenient as well as enjoyable.
Diane, what a great display of photos for a charming village!
Diane,
Nice architecture...I like the crown molding a long to the top of the buildings and it does look similar to the Grove here.
Carole: It is a beautiful village...I was lucky to get such great weather for the photos!
William: Thanks so much! There are a handful of urban villages in the pipeline because of the success of this one!
Jeff: Do you know that my Website Grader said TOO MANY PHOTOS but my clients say give us more photos...when is Google going to get it?
Cynthia: With the gas prices etc the popularity of walking communities like this will only increase!
Susie: Thanks so much!
Neal: Yes, it is very charming..doesn't feel like a shopping center at all. Thanks.
Diane,
I enjoyed this village! I am originally from Califonia so I totally understand where you are coming from! Now I live in Wilmington, a few hours from you right? Anyway, enjoyed your post, and appreciated your visit to my blog too! Do you have any Green communities?

Hi Diane, I love coming back and reading your cool comments back to us. This time I noticed all the pictures have the weird little red w where there should be a picture. What happened. Thought if didn't know, I would send a note.
Ty: We don't have any Green Communities yet...but I think we are moving in that direction. Thanks for stopping by.
William: The pictures are just fine this morning so I have no idea what happened. Let me know if you continue to have problems!
Diane, Localism at its best. I love your writing/posting style. AJ
