Yes I'm all sure we heard that before, but in hard times we need to rise above the rest.
So you say, how can I do that, rise above the average.
We'll in Sally Hogshead's book Radical Careering she writes:
1) Find motivating people to collaborate with, people smarter than you.
2) Read articles and books by industry stars to expand your point of view.
3) Plug into pople outside your office by attending classes, workshops, and anything else that will expand your knowledge and skill base.
4) Scram before you become aa bitter drone with a big ol' pile of TRAPPED EQUITY*
*TRAPPED EQUITY: Investments of time and effort that you can't take with you when you leave your job. Example your batting average on the company softball team.
