Final solution to facing foreclosure?

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty

Today in The Boston Globe I noticed an article about a poor soul that was being pressured by her lender with a scheduled auction of her families home. She evidently was afraid of sharing this knowledge with her husband and family. On the day of the scheduled auction about 1.5 hours before it was to begin she committed suicide by shooting herself. She left a note telling her spouse that the insurance money could help them save their home. Please read this article in the Boston Globe and pray for this poor soul and her family. No one should have to resort to this final decision. The especially sad part is the auction was postponed without her knowing it so maybe she could have saved the home another way.

I don't think any other foreclosure story has hit me so hard.

That's pretty sad indeed.  Call the lender, call the court house, do anything and buy time.  How the spouse didn't know is beyond me, but losing a fellow human over some money is not the answer.

This is very sad, someone that felt like that had no answers.  We must all do what we can with the people we know and come in contact with, and remember that there are human beings behind these problems.

We read this news on some Australian newspaper website and felt this was terribly sad.
