                              Now the Fun Begins!  Let's go house hunting.  You will probably have already decided what type of a home you will be looking for, (condominium, detached single family, farm, one-story or more, lot size or acreage).  It is helpful to your Realtor if you make lists of features you require and another for features you prefer - as well as features that are absolutely unacceptable to you.

 Your Realtor should help you with other important factors, such as the LOCATION, this is a vital factor in selecting your home.  Also, schools (are they close, is this a factor for you), commuting times, conveniences such as shopping, grocery stores, and things many agents do not consider are crime statistics, what type of traffic flow is in the area, is the area susceptible to flooding.

As you can see there's a lot to purchasing your family's home.  Try to buy in the best area that your family can afford.
