flooding

Imagine having to lift the sandbags again.

Like snowdrifts all over town, they were brought to the curb one by one

and left for the front-end loader. Hundreds of thousands of them.

More sweat.

Millions of dollars in damages. Homes are still in the process of being lost.

It takes a while when there are a few thousand homes affected to figure out what stays and what goes.

A business may close up in Jefferson, flood damaged: 300 good jobs, maybe lost.

More tears to come.

Some businesses are closed already, some aren't open yet.

We have normal water use now, access to dumpsters and the city compost yard is open.

The clean up is going well, but will take well into the fall.

It's almost-back-to-normal.

And things will get better.

We will keep reaching out, and helping each other.

Thanks all for stopping by,

Steve

I wished you had been able to make it out there.  I talked to the boss... talked you up, too.  And he wrote down the widget idea we talked about.

Steve,

I am glad things are almost back to normal.  What a horrible year for so many in Wisconsin and the Midwest!  It sure is surprising what mother nature can do!
