I read today that Mother, 53, kills self before foreclosure. I could not help but wonder what Carlene Balderrama must have been thinking and how she felt about the family crisis. What it meant to her to be in a situation where you are faced with loosing your home, literally within hours.

So often, who we think we are is connected to what we own. The shame of loosing what we own can be devastating, as was evident for this family. It is in these dark moments that we must realize that God is with us and will provide loving care always.

It is my humble prayer that we all come to understand that God knows are true value and that His love for us is limitless. Jesus said "I have come in order that you might have life-life in all its fullness." (John 10:10).

I pray that God gives Carlene's family strength to endure the pain that comes with this loss and that they find comfort in His grace and love, for we are always in His care.

I have really enjoyed reading your blog. I am relatively new to AR and have noticed you have received a lot of points and have achieved a remarkable high ranking. Congratulations! May I ask if you have had success in turning your high ranking into business? I am curious if it has been a profitable venture personally as well as financially. Thanks for sharing and best of luck in your business.

James,

Thanks for stopping by. I don't  mind sharing that I have received six buyer referrals and one listing referral, as well as exposure in real estate related print media - All because I am here in the Rain and for no other reason. Along the way I have met some wonderful people. I have also had the pleasure of meeting a couple of members personally.

William:  This is just terrible.  I have heard similar stories about people that were in bankruptcy situations, being hounded by their creditors to the point of killing themselves.  So sad.

I read that, too, and it's heartbreaking. It's tragic that some people can feel so overburdened by financial problems that they see no other way out than to end their own life. It tells you a little bit about how much importance some place on financial well being and sends a message that perhaps as a society, we shouldn't put such emphasis on material belongings.

William, thanks for sharing that post.  It is very very sad but also a reminder of the mess that happened and how we all can find ways to be more supportive and to remember and know to the struggles that people are going through - and to really be there to try and help out.

I can relate to that in the past - when one loses something (especially their home ! ), there is going to be a lot of despair and depression.

We are grateful for all the deals that we did, we were very comfortable that when a buyer that we represented purchased, they were in a good mortgage product and it was well within their range of affordability.
