Winter or early spring curb appeal?

I know that it is officially spring outside, but it is still too cold for planters with flowers and welcoming shrubs for curb appeal, so what do you do to make an entry look inviting when there is still snow outside?  I am going to stage a house that has a fairly large entry outside and I need something nice and tall for the corner, because the colors of the house are brown and brown.  Any suggestions?

Right after I posted this, I saw a blog on spring curb appeal!  That's funny.  I still need something to help with the in between time though.

I like to use those big black urns with Large sticks in it... you can also do greenery and winter berries if you are so inclined.

Fake Topiaries can be used as well.

A bench or a table and chairs.

for height, Depending on the style of the home - a piece of lattice or a large piece of wrought iron
