Awww Mana!  He is just too cute.  I wouldnt have been able to resist either.  I hope this is successful because this is a very worthwhile cause.

How nice of you and I'm so sorry to hear about your friend Tina. No doubt she's so proud of Caden! We've done a few of these ourselves and have another coming up soon.  Please let them know I'll be sending a donation on over.

As you may (or may not) know my own daughter Tina, is mom to my granddaughter Katie (now 6) who also has Leukemia. Since I know you Mana like I do, I'm taking the liberty to post a photo of Katie

 during her chemo. I took this photo one day when she was standing at my desk in my office. It's such a close up, it's funny, that precious little bald head!  Her face is also very swollen from the steroids she been taking off and on.

Fortunately after missing most of kindergarten she will be back in school in Sept.,  Katie appears to be in remission at this point. It's something we expect that to continue.  While still on chemo now, it's not as strong so she even has hair again!

Mana, thank you so much for doing this for all the adults and the kids with Leukemia.  Please give Caden and Tina both a big hug for me  the next time you see them and let them know they will both in in my prayers tonight!

What an amazing story!  Thanks for posting this Mana!  Caden sounds like a very special little boy.

Lynda, As a matter of fact I told Katie's story to Caden and Tina before I posted this article on my blog. She is truly a beautiful child and I don't care what the medications have done to her actual physical beauty, but you can see her inner spirit and love. I am so glad to hear that Katie's cancer is in remission. She has always been in my prayers. Please give her a big hug from me.

Caden and I would like to thank all of you for your support in his selfless endeavor.  I couldn't be more proud of my son.  He chose to do this walk on his own.  He has single handedly raised over $400 already.  Thank you to Lynda & Dan for already making a donation to help Caden in his fight to find a cure for Leukemia.

I am doing well and thank you all for your prayers.  It is with the love and support of great friends like Mana that I am able to be so positive in the face of adversity.  Mana, although I've only known her for three years, has become one of my dearest friends and closest confidants.  I realize how important friends are to lean on during hard times.  Believe me, I've done a lot of leaning over these past three years!

It is times like these where I am filled with love and happiness, knowing I have such a fantastic child and friends!!

Well, just a little update on Caden's progress, he is now at $4,200!!  Yep, you heard right, over $4,000!!  He is not through yet, though, he still wants to walk around in our neighborhood some more because "There's some people who weren't home the first time!" He's determined to find a cure for Leukemia (and with his attitude he just might!)

I'm having so much fun watching him and seeing his face light up every time there's a new donation!!
