
After spending an absolute relaxing and yet energizing day at the beach, you think to yourself, "ahhh, this is the life, "How can I do this more often?" and "Why don't I do this more often?" Well, the truth of the matter is that you probably don't live very close, and it actually requires quite a bit of effort to pack up everything you will need to spend the day away from home, then gas up the car, then make the 20-45 minute (or more) drive to get there, then drive around the parking lot 4 or 5 times to find a place to park, then get frustrated at not being able to find a place, then drive up the street to park a half a mile or more away, then tote all your stuff you brought with you, then set everything up, and hopefully you didn't forget anything and then spend the rest of the day lounging in the sun, and taking in all the sensory satisfaction that our California beaches can provide.
Ahh, yes, what a way to spend a day before you must go back to your daily grind, the hustle and bustle of everyday life that consumes us so. You vow to return next week or maybe next month, but it doesn't happen because it is far too much effort just to get there. But what if it wasn't? Would you go to the beach regularly? Would you find the time to walk on the beach and re-energize and re-vigorate yourself? Of
course you would.

What if you could just walk or bike to the beach? Wouldn't that be just the best way to start or end your day? You have probably thought that type of lifestyle is only for the "wealthy", or the "privledged". Well that may be true in some beach cities, but we have discovered the most delightful Master planned community of San Pacifico.
This community straddles Avenida Encinas. It is bounded on the west by Carlsbad Boulevard (CoastHighway), on the south by Batiquitos Lagoon, and on the northeast by Poinsettia Plaza. The community consists of 454 units and a community recreation area. Of these, 56 units are attached homes and the remainder are stand alone single family residences. The recreation area contains tennis courts, a basketball court, a swimming pool and a spa.

You can literally be at the beach and in the water in less than 10 minutes from the minute you walk out the front door of any of the homes in this community. The best part is the price. Though there are some that command a million $ or more price tag, there are several that are now quite affordable. Recently one of the 2200 square foot detached homes in the Oceanwalk part of the community sold for just $640,000. The attached homes sell for even less. There are currently several fantastic opportunities for sale in this community. This is an area that values just don't decrease. The lure of the ocean breezes and the positive energy that abounds in this area are irresistable to most people, including us. We can't stay away. This is absolutley the best place we have found to spend the afternoon doing an open house. It doesn't feel like work at all. We meet the most interesting and friendly people who come from all over just to experience the fantastic California coastline and this coveted area of Carlsbad.
