Hello, all!  It has been an interesting last couple months, and I unfortunately have not been on here in about 75 days!!!  I started a weight loss group, then fell off the face of ActiveRain.

Well, I am BACK!  My Team and I moved offices recently (same company, but different office), and a lot of other things have happened in my life.  I owe an apology to everyone in the weight loss group I started, and I am going to make-up for my absence and my lack of follow-through, so stay tuned.

Now, the purpose of this post ... WE HAVE A NEW TEAM COMMERCIAL!  I value the input and opinion of my fellow colleagues and would like to hear what you think...

Look forward to your response!  Thanks...

Nice.  Did you put it together yourself or hire a professional team to put it together?

Impressive.Where will you post this to advertise yourself?

Cindy and Ellie - Thank you for stopping by and for commenting!  I guess you could say this was semi-professionally done, and I did not do it myself.  It will be posted on YouTube, MySpace, Facebook, integrated into our website, and not sure where else I can put it.

Glad you like it and hope some others stop by and let me know what they think as well.  Enjoy your weekend.

I like the video but if I watched it on Youtube and not your website I would have not known you were a real estate agent until the end when you have it in very small lettering "Your premiere real estate professionals". Just my 2 cents.

Hi Derek.  I am sure this is something that is just lost on me, but I don't get the odd placement of the man in a suit in a rowboat or the long amount of time devoted to pictures of footprints in the sand until the very end which leaves me wondering what this is about throughout the ad (which draws away from it's effectiveness since people will be distratced wondering about what they are watching).  You also chose some well used buzz words, but I think the ad would be more effective if it seemed to have more to do with real estate-related imagery and somehow created a connection earlier in the ad between the images, words and real estate.

I agree with Tony and if you post it on national sites is there someplace you can put what market you are in?

Derek - I'll be a little different and say that I like the fact that people don't know what it is until the end.  It piques their curiosity.  Since your title is TV commercial. I assume that it will primarily be shown in your market.  For Youtube, etc you might consider defining that market.

Wow, this is some great feedback!

Tony, Steve, and Regina - I struggled with the general theme, but our logo is the lighthouse, so I wanted it to have an overall theme of navigation, guidance, etc.  I used the words I did because it best defines us, for sure.  Regina, as for National sites, I would like to get as much traffic to my website as possible, so I hope a lot of people go to my site to see what market I am in.  If they are looking for an Agent, I can surely connect them with someone in their area ... and you would be on my list for those Agents in your area!

Erik - Thank you, and I agree.  My goal was something a little more out-of-the-box and unique.  I hope I accomplished that, but I am curious how many others say they would like to see it more Real Estate specific.

Thanks to all!

Nice to see you Derek, I too have been away for a couple months...but I'm back now!!  I like your ad but I agree that you don't really know what it is about till the end.  I actually  had to rerun it after I saw the end...I'm not a good marketer but I do like the uniqueness of it, I think the out of the box goal was met!!

I'm a life long national marketing guy -- just happened onto your site by mistake.

I hate to throw cold water, but this "commercial" does not sell a single benefit to a consumer.  It won't be effective at all.  It sells broad generic qualities that you offer, but particularly in today's economic world with all the anxieties, that ain't enough -- and realistically who in your business does not claim those qualities?

The lighthouse effect is an excellent and memorable one that captures a positive subliminal message of lighting the way in the darkness.  Redo the commercial and use that as the very prominent feature with copy points that sell benefits to sellers, ala:

Finding the ready buyers in (whereever)

Discovering the unique sales power of your property

Going the distance to attract the right offer

Putting in depth market knowledge to your advantage

Good luck!
