I would like to open this blog with, I understand what it feels liek to be desperate for a sale. At what cost are we to try and sell a home? It seems that many fudiciary duites have been tossed out the window.
I have only been practicing real estate full time for about a year now and have been very blessed with my success, however, it has been a struggle to get to where I am now, however, I made it and I did it the right way.
I have seen agents sign for buyers as power of attorney when there was a dought whether that agent could do thtat or not, I have had agents tell me the bottom line to get the deal done (of course I have to tell my client that info.)
I am concerned that Realtors will continue to get a bad rap as long as "we" act like this.
I know I can't be the only one concerned with this, but I haven't seen a much in the blog world. Lastly, I would like to say that 90-95% of Realtors I have delt with have been tremendous, but as usual the few make everyone look bad.
Thank you to the 90-95%, and Happy selling!

Hi Matt, great post, and this brings up something that I too am concerned with. The best thing we can do is remain ethical, trustworthy, and above the standard. Those agents will fall somewhere along the way (or they already have). I recently got a listing agreement because I refused to do something unethical and the owner of the home said to me that "Well, other agents will do it!" I politely told him that it was unethical and against the State of Tennessee Real Estate Standards and that I would have no part in it. He called me the next day to list. So, it pays to do the right thing ALWAYS.
Good Luck,
