Today, as I prepare to go show several properties this afternoon, I'd like to steal a moment to thank ActiveRain for its purpose and existence.  Believe me, I have learned that the more I have learned, the less I know.  Over and over and over.

It always has given me the utmost in satisfaction to be able to help guide, educate and negotiate for my clients and keeping their best interest in mind.  As much as I have been able to provide my clients a top customer service experience throughout each and every one of my transactions, I have always walked away having learned just one more "tidbit" through experience that makes me a more valuable Realtor and Consultant.

Likewise, in my busy schedule, and whether it's in the afternoon or in the middle of the morning, everytime that I get on Active Rain, I am quite pleased with the free expert advise from many of my fellow Agents that have gone through experiences that helped me be aware of things (an extremely vague word for the plethora of events, contigencies, showings, voided contracts, etc....) that can come up during any transaction.  I  am grateful to have the training, continuing education, inspiration from my fellow agents both here with Keller Williams and others, but I seemingly never can get enough.  Hence, thank you Active Rain.  I have learned that we can learn from other people's triumphs and mistakes.

I have only been a member for 4 or 5 months here in 2008 and I still feel like a "newbie" in many ways.  And in many ways, many of you, as well as myself, are acutely aware that I still am.  And that's okay.  Because as of today, it looks like my "points" with Active Rain will now go over 5,000!  Thank you AR.  BTW - Congrats also to ActiveRain for hitting the big 100,000 in membership.  I believe that I predicted personally to Bob Stewart via e-mail that this was going to be the week for AR to hit the magic 100,000.

Congrats Stephen - it's not easy getting to that many points and I know how easy it is to just forget about it or think it's not important. Way to go for pushing through...

I also have only been here a short time. But I use it as a resource for council and advise. Its a great SEO tool as well. I love the rain.

Congratulations on reaching the 5,000 point milestone. Keep learning and keep blogging. The points will add up before you know it.

I'm a recent AR participant, too, and I've found the information to be invaluable.

AR has great info. You have an optimistic outlook which is important in this business.

Gary you are so right.  Not just exceptional but obviously talented.

January, you are right as well.  Life happens when we're making other plans.  Distractions abound.

Laura, it's kind of funny.  Some call AR a "hobby".  Okay, but when I used to take private lessons when I played the French Horn, that "hobby" took me to 2 major Universities and allowed me to follow the passion of music for a very long time with some success :)

Michael, thanks for the encouragement.

Li, I agree.

Lisa, life is too short to walk around a pessimist.  Too often I see people living in the past, stuck.  Yes, things do happen to all of us, but I always have a choice as to whether I want to react or respond.  True I mix a bit of sketicism and realism with that optimism, but an "attitude  of gratitude" has opened up for me many new front doors.

Stephen, I'm glad to see that you're still chugging along the train tracks of the Active Rain network and finding the experience to be useful, worthwhile, educational, and fun.

Stephen, congrats, and continue to work at it.  You'll learn and grow an awful lot here in the Rain.

Hi Stephen, you are so right, and congrats on 5000!  Wishing you many more.  I know I have learned more here than any where else, and I just keep learning every day.  Keep up the good work!
