DO YOU THINK YOU HAVE PRIVACY ON THE INTERNET/ WEB?  (THINK AGAIN)!

Some people believe that with their own Log-in name and Password that they have Privacy. Well, (THINK AGAIN)!

MSN (Hot mail), Yahoo-mail, G-mail, etc are just several email web-sites that offer service. But if you look at the terms with the companies in fine print you will see that any and all information is collected and used for different purposes. There is nothing private about email web sites, unless you get a personal email address and how much privacy do you have with this one?

The Federal Government has access to any information that goes over the Internet/ Web. Is this a good thing? Yes & No!

Yes, because the Police and Government can track pedophiles while chatting on the Internet/ Web. And also track criminals working through computers, Internet/ Web, etc.

One of the problems with the Feds and Government having this technology would be:     Someone having your Log-in name & Password to your bank account and all bills being payed through the Internet/ Web. This is very scary.

(Example) Two months ago when my brother-in-law was in Southeast Asia the Government in Thailand froze his bank account because they wanted to know where all of his money was going. The Thailand Government had his Log-in name & Password.  (Scary)!

Any country in the world has this type of technology and is is quite scary, don't you think?

I do not want anyone having my Log-in name and Password to my bank account information and or any other private information.

Another anti-privacy situation to be careful of is when hackers and scammers use BOA (Bank of America) and other bank information stating on a email sent to you:  You need to change your Log-in name & Password because someone is trying to access your account. And they use real bank logos and cover pages that resemble the real deal.

I don't mean to scare everyone and this is not a conspiracy theory. I just want individuals to beware of the Internet/ Web, it is not a very safe place and is by any means (PRIVATE).

 Safe surfing!

The great advantage of technology is the power to do -- the great disadvantage of technology is the power of others to do to us !

And what is just as bad, is sending checks out in the mail to pay your bills. Now they have your name, address and sometimes phone number. Your account number, the name of your bank and the worse thing....YOUR SIGNATURE.

I agrue all the time with my husband what is safer. I have worked in retail banking for 18 years and i do all internet banking, I rarely give a check out with my signature.

What's on your checks?

Suggestion when paying with check would be to pay with a  money order, but who wants to pay all their bills with money orders. And you have to also think of the cost.

There has to be another solution to protecting our privacy. Our privacy must not be very important because personal checks have be around forever!

And Internet/ Web (PLEASE SPARE ME)!
