Spring Market, Spring Training...so what's with all the snow?

Greetings AR from (brrrrrrr) Southern NH!  Only minutes ago did I hit the return key after filling out my profile.  I figured I should jump in with both feet and post away.  I spent most of the evening lurking around the site and reading several posts.  What a great resource this is!  I'm already implementing several ideas.

So as the Boys of Summer get underway in much warmer climes I'm compelled to say that this is THE YEAR for my beloved Red Sox. (Yes, I say that every year...so what?)  Schilling, Wakefield, Beckett, Papelbon and (he's the real deal) Matsuzaka will be the dominant pitching staff in the majors this year.  GO SOX!

The Spring market has officialy sprung up here.  Lots of activity and people relocating in and out of town.  We still have lots of inventory to sell, but there are signs that the Spring will be quite busy.  Recent stats show sales in my area are down 7% from '06 but prices are up 1%...go figure!  The high prices only a few miles away in Massachusetts continue to be my best friend.

Now if we can just get the temperature into double digits all would be right with the world.  It's difficult to swing my 5-iron with a ski parka on.  We might hit the 60's later this week.  Can you say "Driving Range?"  After work, of course!

I'm looking forward to interacting with all of you as much as possible as I would be happy to let you contribute to my success (I know, the 25% referral is in the mail).  I'll do my best to make it a 2-way street.  Rain on!

Hello Chris, I'm down the street in Hampton, NH!

Won't be long now, the magnolias will be blooming. Did you ever notice that New Englanders talk about the weather a lot? That's because it's always changing, and it gives us fresh content to discuss every 3-4 hours...ha!

Good first blog Chris. Welcome to Active rain.

Hi Sue,

To be honest, I think I'd miss the seasons if I lived elsewhere.

Now to the important stuff.  What the heck happend to John's Popcorn and Junkins Candy?

I'm wondering if he is talking about stores on the strip at Hampton Beach.

Sue,

Jay's right.  They were both icons on the old Hampton Boardwalk.  I think they've been gone for 10+ years but their legacy remains on my waistline.  In my youth, we used to rent every summer on "P" St.  I couldn't wait for the nightly walks to the arcades, Junkins and John's.
