Over the past 3 years I have been offering prepaid legal plans to my Mortgage and Financial Planning Clients.  Not only has it been a worthwhile experience, but also a lucrative one.  Working as a Financial Planner I ask my clients many questions.  One question on my questionnaire is "Do you have a Will?".    Less than 20% of the clients I have met with actually already had a will prepared.

I have heard excuses like: "It's to expensive",. "We have been thinking about it, but just have not done it yet", "We are too young to think about that now".   And many other reasons I won't list.

The truth is that for a comprehensive Financial Plan,  you really need to think about how your plan will work in the case of your death.  Do you have children?,  Do you want to leave money to charity?,  Do you want to split it among 3 siblings?.   If you do not have a properly written will, you may end up leaving 70% of your estate to uncle same and only 30% to your loved ones.   With a prepaid legal membership one of the things that is included is a fully executed will written by a Law Firm for you and your spouse.

But you say  "I have never used an attorney".   Well it is not weather you have used one or not, but weather you could have used one.   Listed below I have created 101 reasons why you should have access to an attorney.  They also market one of the best Identity Theft Coverage's in the market today.  In a future Blog I will talk to you about the Truths and Myths about Prepaid Legal Services.
