A Few Shots at the AR Do

They put on a good reception for us. And it started at 9pm, which is past our bedtime (yeah, sure). There was nice finger food, beverages, and no rubber chickens that we saw.

These were the barbarians at the gate. What you saw getting out of the elevator before entering the do. That's Brad and Don Rich, of course. AR will never be the same.

These are our make over 2 take over contest winners, Brian Block and Desiree Daniels, having obviously survived getting past the two trolls at the front door. Here, they're less surprised than they were when they won earlier in the day.

This one's cool. It's Brad twice in a looking glass. And the lady in the mirror? That's Brad's much better half, and like a big dummie, I either forgot her name, or we're setting up another meaningful AR contest, "name the lady in the mirror." (She's the one who was behind Brad's post earlier this year... that changed his life good and brought him to us.)

Hey Gary, thanks for showing up at the party, it was nice to see you again. Lots and lots of pics on Flickr, both good and bad :)

looks like to much good time tobe had by just a few.

So, Gary, there really are 2 of you? Just curious, but too far from CA to find out in person. Thanks for posting these pics ... looks like you all (both of you and everyone else) had a great time. Mrs. ActiveBrad is very pretty, isn't she!!

Looks like alot of fun! I love Brad's AR t-shirt...I want one! I look forward to the day when I will be able to meet everyone.

Wow, that mirror shot is amazing. Did anyone walk through it as Matt predicted? I loved meeting Deborah, Brad's beautiful wife, wish she could have stayed around longer.

You still didn't tell me what came up when you said you talked about me...I'm curious how much laundry you passed on:)

Neal - no laundry, just that you should'a been there.

Missy - Thanks, and you win the name Brad's wife contest ;-) I think Max took that picture. Wish we would have gotten shots of Beth, Kevin and Ines, but was so involved talking to them I forgot.

Lynda - Brad did do good. Was a real pleasure meeting him. AR did real good getting two of us to become them.

Bill - We're a cult, don't you know. Most of us went to Blog Connect only, and took off after that. I've had all of the traditional real estate "training" I can endure. Truth is we RE blog sorts are setting our own mark, making it up and finding out what works, and what doesn't, and the rest of our industry will be "teaching" that behind us.

Naoma - Brad's t-shirt, I think, is headed for the Smithsonian.

David - Always astounding how much different we look than our profile pics, huh? Seems like there's an age and size difference for some, including mine.

Jan - Yes, but only two. But the efforts of one on the daily business allows the other the time to market, which is all about the blogs these days.

Eric - Was actually more subdued than it looked. Truly was like meeting up with old friends. Very cool this AR thing.

Matt - And thanks for throwing the party, good sir!
