Last month, local homebuilders in the Bryan, College Station area worked with Habitat for Humanity to build 7 Houses for 7 families in 7 Days. The event, known as the Home Builder's Blitz, allows families to move from poor living conditions into a brand new home. The home building began the last week in May, and the Homebuilders handed over the keys on June 6th. The homes were constructed in Bryan at the Angel's Gate subdivision, and took more than 175 workers from 8 professional home building companies to put the project together.
Billy Chenault and Quinn Williams, are 2 of the 8 professional builders. The home they built was for a young couple named Peneda. The family has 2 children, Naomi, and Joseph Jr. The builders did a fabulous job of raising money for the Peneda's in addition to building the home. In this way, they were not only able to give a home to the Peneda's, they were able to put enough money together to furnish it as well.
A big thank you to everyone who donated time, money and /or furniture to help in this wonderful community event. If you have not looked into your local Habitat for Humanity, I highly suggest you do so! It is a great Cause for a Realtor to be a part of!
