New member to this ActiveRain group from Dauphin Island, Alabama.

A few weeks past I posted photos of one of my private rental homes on Dauphin Island.  Of course, I advertise it on various sites including direct page links on my XSite www.MarionSells.com and www.ForgottenGulf.com.  The main purpose for this posting was to create easy links to these photos from my blogs and responses to renter inquires.  A secondary hoped for benefit was that through linking the photos to various "Channels" inside WebShots I would generate direct renter/sales traffic.  Yesterday, I discovered I succeeded beyond expectation.

A flurry of emails came into my mailbox with a title "You have a new Webshots Guestbook entry!".  As most had a similar tag line I though it was spam attack.  Fortunately, not.  One of my rental home photos of the sleeping porch at "Dune House"had been featured in the Photo of the Day (FOTD) for the channel "Home & Garden".  The emails kept pouring in from around the world and even today when I am on the main page but as a thumbnail beside the new POTD.  The way the system seems to operate I will be a featured thumbnail for the next 6 days.  Great advertising of my coastal region to many markets as well as my personal rental.

This certainly one of the least expensive marketing campaigns I have ever used.
