The Latest for Your Pampered Pet ~ Look Ma, No Paws!

PlesiDor Pet Door

The latest and greatest for your pampered pooch or/and pampered puss is the electronic PlexiDor Pet Door. This door can be installed in doors as well as walls. PlexiDor Pet Doors offers an electronic door that is convenient and secure. Your pet wears a coded chip, RFID key, that clips to their collar so that only they can open the pet door as they approach, much like using a garage door opener. The PlexiDor Electronic "reads" the key code on the RFID key and opens only for your pet and it won't interfere with home  security systems. The door just plugs into a household outlet or can be hardwired.

The system is pet and child safe, panel won't close when obstructed. No pinched tails or fingers. Also, panel will not free fall with power failure. RFID keys are waterproof, battery free, shock proof, secure, and work with underground fencing. I don't personally have one of these but it sounds like a pretty neat idea.

This is a great idea, especially for the security conscious individuals who have been avoiding doggie doors.

Teresa, as much as my dog goes in and out, this would come in handy. I like the idea of the chip, I always wondered if other animals would use the regular doors and we'd wind up with someone else's pet in the house!

Now our pets are high tech too. Hmmm, I guess if the power goes out we have to open the door the old fashioned way. Gotta love it!

Hi there... I was wondering how you have so many unique fonts and colors on your AR blog?  It's very unique.  Is that transferring okay to your AR outside blog?  I'd love to know how you're doing it.

Thanks,

Amber

What a cool idea!  I wonder if the sound of the door opening is noisy at all.  I know that the automatic liter boxes, while a wonderful idea, have scared many a cat with the noise factor.

Wow that sounds great, I will have to tell my sister about this.  She currently has a doggy dog, but she would love this one.

Chris: Thanks for stopping by! I don't know about the sound but that is a good point to consider. Thanks for the info on the liter boxes. I have never had any of those but I did have a tenant that had two of them. I didn't know they were noisy but I do know that the one our tenant had were the BEST. When he moved out you could not tell he had two house cats. Take care!

Hi Teresa,

Now we just have to make sure those crafty raccoons don't get ahold of their own chips!
