PRAYER REQUEST PLEASE

Some of you have been following my Blog for awhile, some of you not so long. One thing I am usually reluctant to do is to ask for prayer for myself. I know many people do pray for me regularly and I am eternally grateful, but actually asking is something i don't do easlily.

This time I am asking. I just sent off an introductory EMAIL to a recruitment committe at a Church looking for an assistant pastor. Two things I know for sure. FIRST, I'm sure that I do not yet possess the qualifications they thought they were looking for.SECOND, If the Lord wants me there i will be there. I have felt pretty strongly for the past year or so that I am a prime example of the saying"God doesn't call the qualified, He qualifies the called". I thought about this for 48 hours before i made the ecision to apply and if it is not my time yet I'm fine with thatbut I know the Lord responds to prayer,so please lift me up to Him.

Hi Hugh,

I will pray that God will open the right door for you, at the right time. Your comment reminds me that you are sometimes too hard on yourself. Don't worry too much about qualifications. Obviously you have a strong desire to serve the Lord and help other people. Maybe that's what this church is looking for! :)

Maybe that is not where you were called to be. Maybe God is preparing you for that next step in your ministy by using you as a vessel of hope for some of us here at active rain. Perhaps he wants you to start your own ministry, vs. going into someone else's. We never know what his plan is we just yield ourselves and hold on to the fact that he knows best.

I haven't been a member for very long, but I have read a lot of your posts, and you are a gift from God. I know this site is also available for networking, but I have gotten so much Christian inspiration from you and the members of this group, it has elevated me from the dump i was in the morning i discovered this site. That day I found this site.. i was truly ready to give up on this business and move home to my family. Things are so hard for me business wise right now.. I was feeling like Job at his worse that day. I found this group somehow, and I read the posts and realized that there are believers out here, and have truly renewed my mind. It is refresing to know that there are some people who realize, that only God is gonna get us through and make our business successful... The people I am around are looking everywhere else, and now I have you and my "Walking in the Rain" people who believe what i believe... I don't know you from Adam, but i thank God for you and I hope you look at the situation with that position as their loss, and your opportunity to obtain more than you could ever ask or think..

i look forward to your posts, and i thank God for you. You have no idea how much your posts have made a difference for me...

Keep on letting God use you here.. and when he's ready, he'll move you.....

Thank You everyone I am really fine with the fact that it is not time yet. Looking foward to my time in the Gideon Booth at the state fair. Alot of opportunities to witness.
