I've had these decals on my car for about a year and now I'm looking into doing a 1/2-2/3 digital car wrap (the bottom part) with graphics. I'm trying to figure out what exactly I want to do with the graphics. My main focus will continue to be my website/phone number and the broker logo, but I'm throwing around ideas to see what else I want to do with it (If anything). If you have any input, please help me out and leave a comment.

I also know some people think I'm crazy for doing this, but this helps me create a presence and has brought me business and it's fairly cheap advertising. These stickers, which are on both sides of the car and the back cost $300 and the graphics will end up costing about $1200. One deal pays for this at least 5 fold:)

I think what you have right now is tasteful and I really like it. When I first started out every vendor used that logic on me. Just one deal, then one more deal. I don't know about you but my family needs profit...

I considered doing the graphics myself. Right now I just use magnets, since sometimes I like to go places unnoticed with friends. Other times I park my car in places where I dont want anyone to know Im a Realtor and may be carrying a computer and files in my trunk.

I think your colors are good and stand out from the car. That is the most important thing is to attract attention. I prefer a more subtle look, but if you are paying for the graphics and want attention, might as well draw it.

Here is my project Im working on. I had my name and Keller Williams on the red striping, but it just didnt flow and seemed like too much information being crammed in there. Maybe I can put everything lower on the body like you did.

The graphic looks good, but it's very difficult to see exactly why you're advertising yourself.  You should have Realtor prominently displayed (or some other verbiage to let people know you sell real estate).

I did vinyl stickers on my rear window of my truck.  It was only $70 at fast signs and it went on pretty smooth.  I put all my name and contact info.  Then I got an idea to add to the bottom of it.  I was sitting behind a garbage truck and came up with this.

                                        ! CAUTION !

Vehicle makes frequent stops at homes for sale! Buyers on board!

It also helps if clients are following you and a car gets between you and you start to slow down.

I wish I had a picture to show you.  The caution is in red and really stands out.

Paul..... Yeah, vendors always use that logic, but I'm very careful in spending my money on advertising. My thought on Car Decals or graphics are that it is just a one time cost and it brings in calls and helps with branding (Read my blog...."More leads than I can handle!! ***without spending a penny!!") Currently..... I'm spending very little money on advertising. My first couple years in Real Estate I spent quite a bit, but would like to think I've gotten more wise:) The majority of the things I do cost nothing.

Mike.... Nice! I'm trying to be careful about putting too much information. I see so many cars with graphics that you can't read anything because they put too much on the car. I like your concept. Tweak it and go for it. Things like that help you stand out from the massive crowd of Realtors.

Cameron.... Very true! The only place that indicates what I do is the broker logo, but that is somewhat difficult to see. I'll keep that in mind with my new graphics.

Dale.... Nice idea! I'm sure that starts lots of conversations. You'll have to post a photo!

Charles..... I've definitely had results from the car decals. It has helped me get at least a couple deals in the past year. When I go out anywhere with friends or clients..... it's a reminder of what I do and starts conversations all the time. I've been happy with the results, which is why I'm going for the full digital graphic wrap.

Tyson,

I too like what you have on already......not over done.  And I agree the cost is far outweighed by the income it will produce.

I second what Cameron said above. The graphic does not give me a hint of what you do. The graphic is very cool in itself and will get you recognized for sure. I think I would boldly place "Realtor" somewhere in the graphic.

As a new realtor, getting your name and face out there can be quite expensive.  So I thought it would be a good investment to buy some bench advertising.  Would you believe that every bench in the neighborhoodthat I want to specialize in is not only taken, but there is a waiting list for everyone of them.  Well I said screw them, my lettering comes for my van this week!  For less than the price of one months bench advertising, I will be setting my van strategically all over Westdale.  Thanks for the inspiring post....Ken

I agree with people saying you need to identify what kind of business you're in.

I've been considering doing graphics on my car but I'm hesitant for security reasons. I'm a young woman so I'm really not sure if that's a good idea for me. Although, it's very tempting...

Any suggestions?

Thanks a lot,

Olena

Hi Olena:

Thanks for the feedback! I have since changed my graphics...... you can see them at http://activerain.com/blogsview/651472/New-Vehicle-Wrap-Am. The new wrap has "Bank Owned Specialist" in large letters and also a large Realtor logo towards the back to identify what I do.... so I definitely took those suggestions.

My suggestion to you??? I've spoke to a number of young women who have done wraps and some have had bad experiences, while others have been okay..... so that is a tough one. Maybe do something that scaled down that focuses on your niche or website.

I think the car advertising lessens my professionalism.  I am a professional who when showing clients homes does not answer the phone.  They get my full and undevided attention.  Why would I need to miinimize my professionalism to not attract any real cients?

Zane....

Hmmm.... Interesting comment. Especially after seeing your website. Whatever floats your boat.

I'm going to be a Cowboy too..... that will make me seem very professional:-)

I have done vinyl decals. I've also used such things like a custom advertising car magnet.  (for example; http://www.CarVehicleMagnets.com  )  This is one of the best ROI i've ever done.  Get different sizes with FULL COLOR or simple text advertising.  Great price too!

There is also another company that does the vehicle wraps called Wrap it Up out of Shawnee, Kansas.

Just my 2 cents. Hope it helps!

Also.. here is where you find car magnet care instructions:

I have created a fake name so to speak.  My website is Mr. Beech, I have mrbeech.com in white letters across my back windshield and people enter my office wanting to speak to Mr. Beech.  I also have maganets with my logo and web address to put on my car.  If I choose to drive a different car like in the snow then I can move my maganets and not loose out on permanet decals on one car.
