30 Comments on Monday Morning ...a morning of anticipation
Kathy, now that guy in the lounge chair has it all going! Living right I would say...
I LOVE your picture of the lizard! I can't believe he was still long enough for you to get a close-up.
Have a wonderful week!
Thanks for the reminder to "stop and smell the roses" - or look at the butterflies and stuff! I used to look at the clouds with my boys all the time. That was back when there were just two of them. I rarely find make the time to do that anymore and I really should. Thanks again for the reminder.
~Renae
Great post and great pictures also - What kind of camera are you using?? I always try to take Sunday's off and it has worked for me ---
I love your pictures...especially that lizard and yes he does look like he is watching you!
I just bought a new camera last week and it is amazing mow much more you "notice" when you are into the taking pictures mode!! Good pictures!!
Hi Kathy, in other words... take time to smell the coffee. ;-) I know I have to be reminded of this frequently. I love what I do and tend to work too much but I'm also learning to balance work with fun, family and friends, the real important sutff. I love the lizard pic, reminds me of my walks thru the woods collecting frogs and salamanders with my brother when we were kids.
Kathy, I like this type of post. Or as Marti said, take time to smell the "roses." It's a great reminder. ;-)
Hi Cheryl- I hope you had a great day.....mine was just perfect....well almost perfect. Spending time with kids is so rewarding, I am still in San Diego :)
Sally- it is 7:30 PM and I just went outside with the baby and got some beautiful pictures of her "Caterpillar Tree "....the simple things :) I saw the AR changes, and it made me lose this Post that I made last night :)
Sondra- Yep....that shot of the lizard really entertained me, and a different lizard one has all the colors of the rocks he's on.
Gail- I hope you're feeling better soon, yes I think that is Granite.....
Randy- The weekend used to be very busy for me, but not now....Mondays are better :) I think in different areas and Markets it's a little different for all of us.
Neal- We all deserve a break no matter what day it is....absolutely :)
Nannette- Yep.....the problems will wait. Hope all is well with you.
Cynthia- Thanks......those quiet R & R days do wonders for the soul.
Ryan- Isn't yard work so relaxing? With all your busy time.....that's great you got time to yourself.
Kathy, I love your wisdom and wish I had done what I'm doing now earlier in my life....when I rushed by things. I don't anymore and I'm so glad I finally got it! Btw, that little guy is definitely looking at you :)
Linda- Why thank you....when I got home and saw this I thought..."why look at that eye" :) :) I think I should go take my lounge chair and sit next to him...you come too OK.....and ditto to the week :)
Renae- Oh....I love to look at the clouds, and it's fun with the kids....they see things we don't. Sooner than you think the Twins will be big enough......
Norma- I got this camera for Mothers Day....it is a Canon SX100....I liked the easy of use, and the large buttons. The zoom on it appears to work great...tonight I took a few pictures of a Caterpillar that are beautiful. Now as to taking Sundays off....I am trying to transition to that, but it's a little difficult for my Market.
Monika- Thank you.....and he sure didn't look like he was looking at me when I took that picture LOL :)
Earleen- Oh yes...taking photos is so relaxing to me.....and with a new camera the whole world is wide open :) Have fun, and let me know when you post some of your pictures .........
marti- Frogs and Salamanders.....that's funny :) My son brought home 6 huge bullfrogs one day and he and his friend were in the tub with them when I walked in :) Ya just gotta love little boys (big boys too).
Teri- Thanks...and as marti said take time to smell the coffee, with a friend makes it even better :)
Important post Kathy. I am finally *taking the time* this summer and I am refusing to let others give me grief about it. If I waited to *find the time* it would never happen!
Debbie- Good for you....I think we all instinctively know what we need.
hey Kathy, you were right... that lizard is a freakinsaurus! lol... great to meet you and enjoy coffee & conversation... the best gift of this Monday! :-)
Hi Mara.... I am still in Carlsbad. It was wonderful meeting you, and if I didn't;'t want to know more about you I would have loved to hear about Inman....let me know when you have time to Post it :) Now, enjoy that beautiful grandson :) It was GREAT to meet you, that sure was the best gift of all for today. Thank you.....
Sounds like you faced things with the right attitude. Congratulations on the the smoking, exercise and general success! There is a lesson there for me!
I'm actually taking an afternoon off today to enjoy some well needed time with my family. It has been a while since I've actually taken time off to just be with my family, not taking time off to coach a baseball or softball team, but to just be with them.
That lizard does look like he is going to get you and I've seen Godzilla, so watch out he could grow at any minute and stomp all over California.
Hi Gary- Ahh I can you read more than one blog of mine...your comment is for the Tuesday Post I think :) Thank you though no matter where it is....and lessons have no boundaries.
Todd- Good for you....kids need that time with both Mom and Dad, and lets not forget the wife needs adult time with you :) Balance my friend.....balance. And if that Lizard turned into King Kong....we'd all be in trouble not just California :)
GREAT photos - I would have a book in my hands if I was in that photo by the pier!
Kathy,Thanks for the reminder to sit back and relax occasionally. Love the photos. Great work.
Bill & Barbara Jo- A good book sounds perfect :) :) Me, I would also move a tich back from the Rocks :)
Bob- Thank you.....balance that's what we need, and photography is mine...it relaxes me.
