The political machine that masquerades as a two party system with little to no difference has highjacked our political system and has made it extremely hard to beat an incumbent and all but impossible for an Independent to win. However, many have had enough of politicians that are beholden to the 15,665 lobbyists in D.C. that spent an astonishing $2.81 Billion dollars in 2007.

The polls are telling us that people are fed up with lack of representation, and are ready for some fresh independent, Constitutionally thinking folks, that will represent their constituents as our founding fathers envisioned.  So am I.  That's why I will be voting for Ron Paul - the only qualified candidate for president - even if I have to write him on the ballot.

God help us!

I second that vote! Great post Gerri, couldn't agree with you more! I actually just finished writing my own anti-political blog :-)  GMTA!!!

They do not allow write-ins in Hawaii.  I would like to see "None of The Above" added to the ballots.

HA!  LOL!  Loved the "none of the above" addition to the ballots!!

Thanks for the chuckle!

It is a frustrating thing that 3rd party candidates don't have a chance. I used to vote 3rd party but it never helped so I, like many other Americans, vote for the best of 2 evils. We do need a better system in our country.

Maybe it is time for a new Boston Tea Party!

I'm heading to Minneapolis for the "Rally for the Republic" hosted by Rep. Ron Paul to restore the Constitution.  Hope to see you there!

Gerri,  Do you really believe that Ron Paul is the only person qualified to be president?

Maybe it is time to get a G.R.I.P Get Rid of Incumbent Polititions. If you are sick of the status quo.

FYI:  Ron Paul is a ten-term congressman from Texas who has never voted for an increase in taxes, never voted for a congressional pay raise, never voted for any legislation unless the proposed measure is expressly authorized by the constitution.  He serves on the Foreign Policy and Banking Committees, and has authored numerous publications including:  The Gold Standard, A Foreign Policy of Freedom, and The Revolution:  A Manifesto.  I highly recommend you immerse yourselves in his astute knowledge, and encourage you to google him, and watch some of the many YouTube videos available, especially when he questions Ben Bernanke.

Dr. Paul is the leading spokesman in DC for limited, constitutional government, low taxes, free markets and a return to sound monetary policies based on commodity-backed currency.   He is the only hope for America.

A few years ago I actually considered getting my name changed legally to None of the Above and running for public office.

I like the "none of above" idea....I do however think that there is a big difference between the democrats and the republicans...not as big as their should be, but there is a difference.  I'm afraid that if McCain gets elected that it will be 4 (or God Forbid) 8 more years of the same.

That's how come I'm going to vote of Obama.
