Keeping "Guardian Angels" Busy and Happy in Woodbridge VA

If you live in Woodbridge your task is easy. There is nothing better for a "Guardian Angel" than to enjoy all that 3 great park systems have to offer them and their charges in the Woodbridge area.  Our national, state and county parks are excellent facilities and provide inexpensive fun and education.

PRINCE WILLIAM FOREST PARK is a real 15,000 acre forest.  Angels can hike, bike, fish, swim, become Junior Rangers, go on Park Ranger guided tours and enjoy family camping.  In our 25 years in Woodbridge and Prince William County the Kruschka family has used the park regularly and, as a Scoutmaster, Arthur has had his BSA troop camp there regularly.

LEESYLVANIA STATE PARK  Virginia state parks are ranked among the best in the nation and this Woodbridge area park is among the most popular in the state.  Located at the confluence of the Potomac and Occoquan Rivers it provides great opportunities for kids.  Check out the events schedule and you will, like our family, become an enthusiastic supporter.  There are nature study events "galore" in addition to hiking, fishing and picnicking.  A really fun time is at dusk when the deer are feeding alongside the road.

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY PARK AUTHORITY  Similar to Virginia, our park authority is nationally recognized for both the excellence and variety of offerings in the parks.  In the Woodbridge area the 4 most prominent outdoor parks are Lake Ridge, Veterans Memorial, Water Works, and Locust Shade.  Activities include swimming, boating, fishing, mini-golf, skateboarding, nature studies and a lot of sports fields.  Of course, our 2 indoor facilities are Chinn and Dale City with pools, basketball and a host of other activities.

Take it from a long time resident - your "Guardian Angels" will be glad you moved here.
