Perhaps this might be of interest to someone.  I joined the Discovery Health National Body Challenge yesterday and found some great resources their including exercise tips, and meal planning info. Truthfully, the meal plans were overwhelming because it just seemed like lots of stuff to make and prepare, but I joined for the sheer accountibility and challenge of meeting my weight loss goals.  They recommend targting 102 pounds per week.  Now everyone says how easy that is, but doesn't do it, so I am starting there (2 pounds per week) and if I get more, that is great.

I am tired of having on to these extra pounds, and it doesn't help any part of my body be healthier.

If you join, I'd love to hear your thougts on the program.

Anthony - good luck on reaching your weight loss goals. If their plans seems like to much, I'm sure you find more suitable meals or recipes online that will meet your needs.  Keep us posted on your progress.

Thanks Tanya for your encouragement.  So far it's slow going, but I am shooting for 3 times per week at the gym, drinking lots of water, and (starting today) a food journal, so I can't lie to myself about what I eat.
