LOUDOUN COUNTY HAS MANY VERY RURAL AREAS.  WESTERN LOUDOUN COUNTY, where I have a home, is particularly rural for Northern Virginia.  The key to convenience for maintaining real estate services here is that you need good local merchants and service companies.  Otherwise we have to travel many miles for necessities.

Of course, living in the country makes it all worthwhile.  Most of our neighbors are quadrupeds.

I try to provide my home buyers with information about local services.  One of the local merchants that provides an essential service is Mail It All with FedEx and UPS Services.  The next nearest mail or packaging services is Leesburg which is 15 miles away.

Lenn, FedEx is a lot more reliable than the "Pony Express".... Yes, you certainly looks like you live out in the country.  Do you ride?  AJ

I love the picture of the Buck! (horse)!  This is great info - is your card on that board?

Al.  I do live in the country.  No, I don't ride.  I do well to just walk.

Eleanor.  I forgot.  I didn't take one in with me.  Next time.  Send me your card.  I'll put it up there too.

Bill.  Having equine neighbors means lots of open spaces.  Love it.

Lenn this little place looks a lot like a little Post Office in Rock Fall, Connecticut that is a sub section of Middlefield Connecticut.  It services under 1000 people.

It might be small but it has everything that the local residence need.

Lenn, convenience in rural areas are a commodity. I can tell you where I live there is a post office but as for UPS or Fed-Ex, you have to travel a bit to find it.

George.  I have a little Post Office in Lovettsville where I am a town of about 900 folks, but there is no FedEx / UPS here.  But, I don't mind the drive to Purcellville.  It's about 13 miles of beautiful rural Loudoun County countryside.  I get photos and drop in to some builders in the area, keep up with what's new.

Danny.  The same situation exists where I am.  We were scheduled to get a new town center shopping center area, but the housing situation killed that.  The grocery store pulled out, etc.  Maybe one day.  No matter.  I love my home and my area.

Hi Lenn, it's wonderful having an all-in-one shipping depot so conveniently located to you.  BTW, I adore your maps!
