10 Top Reasons for Moving to Middle Tennessee

By
Real Estate Agent with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Woodmont Realty

1.  No shark attacks, hurricanes, wild fires or mud slides; an occasional tornado, sink hole or  earth quake shake up every now and then, no worries.

2.  A great airport (BNA):  easy in, easy out with valet parking, two SW straight flights a day to LA ( I saw Dolly Parton twice at the airport ) not to mention great airport food (BBQ) and live country music!

3.  A strong, recession proof economy ie. banking and finance, book publishing, health care, music and movie making,  manufacturing and auto companies headquartered here.

4. Low cost auto reigistration and a local commuter train from Lebannon and Mt Juliet to downtown Nashville called the "Nashville STAR".  Yes, they take you back again, George!

5. Lots of green grass, rolling hills, horse farms and beautiful old trees through out the city. Nashvillians love their grass, fescue.

6.  Community diversity: Vietnamese, Hispanic and the largest Kurdish population in the U.S. Public access channel 19 airs interesting cultural videos regularly

7.  A great ZOO, located IN town, known for it's white tiger cubs

8.  A 15-20 minute town with churches, grocery stores, mother's day out programs and plenty of  laundries

9. Fabulous health care and a plethora of educational institutions

Andrea, I love it that there are no sharks in Tennessee. But if you were watching "Shark Week" on Discovery you would know that Bull Sharks have been spotted 2000 mile up stream in the Amazon.  So technically they could end up in the Tennessee River.  But highly unlikely.

By the way, welcome to Active Rain and great job on your first blog post.   Good luck and happy blogging.
