Anyone who has studied to become a real estate agent knows that its against the law to push people into a specific area based on race, religion, age, ect...  There are companies out there that are discriminating against home buyers even today.

I ran across an article that I thought I would share with everyone.  It goes to show that if you decide to break the law, then you should get ready for the consequences.  I don't want to say anything bad about Re/Max, but its one of their franchises being charged.

Greg, that is a terrible thing to do. I hope this teaches a lesson to be careful as the license is always under scrutiny.

I can honestly say that I will take any client to see any home they want to see.  When they ask me how they can tell whether they are in a "good" part of town or a "bad" part of town I will tell them to look for trash and tagging......if they don't see any, it is a good part of town.  I hope that is not considered "steering" but I give the same answers to everyone.
