Since 2004, the Louisiana Real Estate Commission no longer tracks education credits. You as the agent are responsible for tracking your own hours. In the instance you are audited by the LREC you must show proof that you have taken the correct number of hours. To prove this you will need your certificate that was provided to you when the class was taken. (This information was provided by Debbie DeFrates-Education Program Manager LREC) 1-800-821-4529. www.lrec.state.la.us

This is how it is in Florida as well. The trade shows are good sources for classes or on-line.

Agents in our area have the option to come into my office for C.E.'s as well, as my attorney teaches, so they can stay close to home and have more of a hands on approach. She uses different scenarios and answers any questions they may have. This is a service we provide as a courtesy to them.
