Memories!!!! Spending the past couple of days in Pompano Bch FL with just my six month old baby girl was the best getaway I’ve ever had. Better than my romantic honeymoon in Jamaica or my adventures in Santa Fe, NM. Why? Because the MEMORIES of taking a nap at the beach or splashing in the pool weren’t captured by pictures but the impressions they’ve made on the rest of our lives is priceless.
I think what makes a vacation good is just TIME. Actually having the time to appreciate those you love. Congrats on the new baby. By the way, where in Jamaica did you honeymoon?
I agree Stacey-Ann....TIME is so precious. We were married on the beach in Ocho Rios and stayed there for our honeymoon. It was amazing!
I am on vacation now and visiting with family has been priceless. We went to a picnic on Sunday with about 20 family members attending. Started 1 PM and ended at 8 PM with everyone walking around and catching up. The entire picnic was outside under a huge Walnut tree. Cooler full of beverages and enough food to feed an army. I'd pay big money to have the experience all over again...wow, good stuff!

We all need to realize the importance of spending those special times with loved ones. Time flies by too fast and before we know it we realize all we did was work, work & work. What a wonderful thing for all of us workaholics to realize that we can be MORE PRODUCTIVE when we are able to step away from the office and routine and spend time with loved ones. A vacation for me is being able to refuel and be stimulated by new impressions, scenery, and people and of course, interesting food.

Oh my gosh! I know this has absolutely nothing to do with your post but your daughter is beautiful! I've got 5 boys, ranging in age from 13 down to 4 month old twins, and I'm not afraid of matchmaking! I'm just sayin'!
