We are always trying to show our clients that they should like trust and know us.  What better way then to learn about your neighbors and their kids B-Days.  The morning of ther B-Day put out a balloon with a sign that says its John's B-day today ...he turns 9 today!  Can you imagine how the family will feel that you took the time to do that?  Do you think they will think of the realtor next door next time they have a real estate need?  I bet they do!

That's a great idea, but how do you collect their birthday info? Seems like that would take awhile and a lot of relationship building... I'm wondering how you bring that part about.

You would door knock and be at events,,,go to the pool and ask the kids, etc.  The reality is that when you prospect directly to the customers it is 10 times more effective then email or mail because there is no personal connection.

You're right, Jacinta. The face-to-face can't be beat! That does seem like a lot of time though.  Maybe if you did walkthroughs ofthe neighborhood you are targeting and left stamped postcards in the mailboxes, that could facilitate getting the information you need faster.

This is a great idea...I am working on getting birthdates and anniversaries right now so I might just have to try it out!
