CAPE COD FOR THE SUMMER ANYONE?????

By
Real Estate Agent with Johnson Real Estate, Inc. RES.0761759

A lot of people on the east coast (and I'm sure elsewhere) and not traveling as much as they have in the past with the rise in gas prices.

When I was at the Cape last weekend I stay at a place called Pine Grove Cottages in East Sandwich, MA right on Route 6A.

This made the third year in a row that I have gone, and I plan on going back again next year.  The cottage above I stayed in last year.  If you are a family with children this place has a pool, basketball, and play area.  What I like best is that the cottage I stayed in was a 2 bedroom unit with a kitchen.  What a savings on food.  I could make meals and not have to stand in a line, or find parking.  The best part was the kids did the dishes.  Yes, I got a break on this too.. afterall it was my vacation as well.  Did I mention that linens and towels are supplied as well.  How can one go wrong?  If you stay longer than a week, you might meet your neighbors and have a barbeque with them.  Did I mention that grills are available too.

Check out Pine Grove Cottages on line when you have a chance.. you won't be disappointed.

Valerie the Pine Grove cottages sounds like a good deal that you may be able to find elsewhere on the Cape. Sandwich off of 6A doesnt have very good beaches comparing them to others on the Cape but at least you are centrally located to travel almost anywhere on Cape. Driving 6A may help with the Route 28 traffic as well.

Stephen... There is a yearly picnic I go to at Town Neck Beach in Sandwich.. been going for the last 20+ years.

Yes, the beaches in Falmouth are a lot better... or should I say different.  There is a beach on the Cape for everyone.

Tanya, It is a lot of fun.. and can't wait until I go again next year.  As far as how far I am from Stratford.. depends on traffic.  I'd say about 1 hour (give or take).. why?

Sassy.. This is one part of the Cape I haven't made it to for the beaches.  Are they like the beaches in Falmouth.

Valerie - I have family in Stratford, so I was just trying to get my bearings on where you are. I've never heard of Crommell before.

Tanya,  Thanks for reading all my blogs.. I really appreciate it.  In regard to the location of Stratford and Cromwell, they are about an hour apart.. depending on traffic.  Stratford is southwest of Cromwell.  Does this help?

Sounds like fun. Everything in FL revolves around waters and the sun. The irony is, I was born in Daytona Beach, yet I hate the sun, sand, beach etc. It's just too darn hot! :p

Lisa.. Head north.  We have beaches, sand and sun.. but NOT as hot as Florida.  You have a few months there was it is just unbearable to even walk outside during the day.. not here.

Hey Valerie - I would love that. I love visiting new places. And I always joke with my cousins that live in MA and CT when they ask me when am I coming up.  I say only in the summer time, those winters are too cold for me. lol.

Tanya.. Thanks for the laugh.  Yes, we have cold winters, but there have been times it has been older there than here.. go figure? At least that is what my sister has told me.  She lives in Columbia, SC.

Valerie - I've only been here 3 years since then we're have one ice storm but that was it. Maybe I haven't been down here long enough. At least there is no snow.  I actually wanted to move to Boston until I spent a winter up there. That was it for me. I'm sticking to the summer time.
