Cork & Olive Lake Mary

Cork & Olive Lake Mary has Just Opened in the Target/Publix Shopping Center in Lake Mary at the corner of Lake Mary Boulevard and Greenwood Boulevard/Rinehart Road.  I was in the market for a gift basket for a friend and I've been wanting to see the new store, I had a few minutes yesterday and I'm glad I stopped by.  Shannon Wagner

I was greeted by Shannon Wagner, the manager, and was offered a tasting...  I told her not to laugh, but I'm allergic to alcohol (I know, it's a tragedy).  I love wine and yes, I still enjoy the occasional cocktail, but I have to be very careful.

She suggested another type of tasting "Olive Oil"... Hence the "Cork & Olive" name...  She offered a variety of olive oils and spice blends.  I received an education about the different kind of olive oils and bought several as gifts.  I found that I really like Spanish Olive Oil... It was delicious!

Cork & Olive Lake Mary

Cork & Olive Lake Mary hosts a variety of events featuring wine and olive oil tastings and tonight they are featuring a Tour de France of French Wines Hosted by Denis Morange and John Kerry, (Thursday July 31st 6-8   pm) and Friday, August 8th, 2008 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm  they will be the site of "Network with your Peers" hosted by Select Magazine.

I'm very excited about our new addition to Lake Mary! Cork & Olive offers fine wine, olive oil and gifts.  I thought that it would be a great location for a customer appreciation event...  I'm looking forward to hosting an event there soon! Let me know if you want to attend!

Debbie, that looks like a great shop.  One of us here is also allergic to alcohol, yet loves aroma of a fine wine.  We both like olives as well.  We'll put this shop on our list when we're in your area!

Debbie~ You are allergic to all alcohol?  What happens when you drink it?

I love a red cabernet and can't imagine being allergic to it and not being able to enjoy a glass.

I never hear od spanish olive oil, is it hard to find it in the stores?  I would love to try it sometime!

DEBBIE - Great post about Cork & Olive.  It sounds like a really cool place.  I've never heard of an olive oil tasting before, but I would definitely try it if it were in my area.

Kathryn & John... It's not fair, I know. I just finished some bread with olive oil with our dinner, it was soooo good.

Vickie - ugh...  When I drink and pass my limit "less than a glass of wine or a cocktail: I start to break out in hives and I have trouble breathing...  It is no fun, I miss wine and margaritas.

Cork & Olive carries the Spanish olive oil, it is so smooth and crisp...  I just enjoyed some with our dinner, my husband had no clue that it was Spanish... He liked it too.

I like the sounds of olive oil tasting - try a bunch all at once and see what rings your bell.  Love the stuff.

Debbie, what a great shop.  I can't drink either, but these shops usually have other items of interest.   Great photo too.
