Being a Realtor is often a interesting profession, from 1983-2004 I was a Firefighter with the US Air Force and Delaware Air National Guard so I have a interest in firefighting history.
Today while in Newark Delaware I came across a vacant home that had a strange looking box 6 feet off the ground.

Shur-Stop box

A couple photos of whats inside

I recognized them as fire grenades used in the late 1800s They were filled with salt water and bicarbonate of soda or muriate of ammonia.
Some even had a dangerous chemical mixture called Carbon Tetrachloride, a dangerous chemical that can potentially cause lung damage with just one exposure...liver and kidney damage and even death. When heated Carbon Tetrachloride can turn into Phosgene Gas!
I am not sure what they had inside but I will be calling the listing agent in the morning. They were mainly for owners and occupants to throw at the base of the fire.
The 63 year old home also had a bomb shelter but I did not get any photos of it, maybe next time.
