Dear Real Estate Diary:

Do you hear what I hear?  Do you see what I see?

As I sipped my coffee this morning, these words kept crossing through my mind.   "Said the lamb to the little Shepard boy.   Do you hear what I hear?  A song, a song, high above the tree."

Oh my, I've got a Christmas song running through my mind.  I've got a Christmas song running through my head in July.

Why?

Is it because I am thankful for my end of month closings?  Could be. I am very thankful that the real Christmas Toys?estate business has still been good in this part of Texas.  It is wonderful seeing buyers get the keys to their new homes.  And, sellers being relieved that the market isn't really as bad as the media has made it out to be.

Am I thankful that my family and friends are all enjoying their health right now?  You bet.  Lord...Thank you for looking out over my family and friends.   Please share your grace , comfort, and healing powers with those who have not been so fortunate.

Am I thankful for all of the friendship and beauty that fills my life?  YES.

As I run through this list of things that I'm thankful for, the words are still running through my mind...Do you hear what I hear?

I am thankful for those that that I have met on AR that take the time to listen.  To hear what I had to say.

You've listened and comforted me in times of pain.  You've inspired me.  You've made me laugh.  You've made me look at the world in new ways.  And you have shared my "new discoveries" with me.

Thank you!  Thank you for listening.  Thank you for all of your comments on my past posts. AND... Thank you for sharing a part of your world in whenever you write truly meaningful or fun posts.

Thanks to those at AR who have made this experience possible.

Karen, I'm glad it made you smile.  By the way, I really like the tribute to your dad.  Serves as an excellent reminder that we need to appreciate those closet to us.

Hi Robert, That is a picture of my little nephew.  As a joke, yours truly gave him a tub with cans of veg tables as one of his xmas gifts.  Afterward, he spent more time playing with those cans rather than all the new toys.  I hope you mom is doing ok.  Your family is in my prayers.

Justin & Katie - "Merry July" to you!

Sondra - all real estate is local, and much of it is loco right now. It's dead of winter in Australia. Don't know why that is relevant, but, if it is snowing somewhere you can sing Christmas songs, especially when you are thankful.

Great shot of the little guy!

Logging into AR every day is a little like opening Christmas presents, isn't it?  You never know what you'll find but it's always interesting... and most of all, whatever "it" is, it keeps us coming back!
