If you've been following the Brett Favre Saga - here's the new scoop.Lambeau Field

It is rumored that the Packers have offered Brett Favre $20 Million to stay home.  Not play. Not return to Lambeau and let the Pack move on.

$2 Million a year - for 10 years to stay retired.

Do you think he will?

I don't.

He is a true competitor.  He LOVES the game.

I would love to see him return and take the team to a Superbowl Championship.  He is our best chance.

Brett Favre is such  a great role model.  There are kids in Wisconsin who have watched him play, follow his leadership and want the American Dream - to be able to play the game they love at a professional level.

I hope he either retires or the Pack allows him to play.  I can't imagine him returning to Lambeau and being a back up to a no name quarter back.  Just can't imagine.  How could you do that to such a GREAT player.  He has been all about the team for so many years, don't they owe it to him.

He could have moved on years ago - to a team that had a much better chance of winning championships.  He chose to stay in Green Bay.  He loves it there.

I can't wait for all of this to shake out!

I can't seem to add photos right now - so stop back to see some from Lambeau field!

Hey, William when you get to the status of that boy, I bet you would want to be able to change your mind and not settle for a buy out.  Playing is in his blood.  Put him on the field or let him go.  Although I wouldn't mind getting a couple of MIL to sit it out.  cheryl-might change my mind-Willis

I realize it's a rumor but I'll play along. If I had to make the decision I'd take the money and spend the time with my family. It would be an injury free experience and time well spent. However, I'm not Favre. He seems to be unable to leave the field. I think he'd love the challenge of facing the long odds... just like always.

April...

I think its tme for the Packers to move on and let Brett decide if he wants to stay retired or play elsewhere. Remember the 49'ers with Joe Montana and Steve Young? Just making a change won't doom your team to losing,

He is a true competitor. Money is not the issue (for the most part)

It is his legacy and that needs to remain in Green Bay

I would like to see him play as long as he can. He is one of the few professional athletes that seems to care more about winning than looking good.

Cheryl,  I agree, he will want to play - he is already a millionaire - that isn't an incentive when he just wants to compete!
