Now is the best time to buy Real Estate in the United States- Why the Experts Agree!!
In an interview six months ago, Warren Buffet (Financial Expert) was asked how he would determine when real estate had hit it's bottom. Mr. Buffet Suggested looking back at the prior year, that now was the time to buy, and in fact added he was buying now!.
A few months ago , American Express Publication had conducted it annual Survey of Affluence and Wealth in America. The survey revealed that 77% of the wealthiest people in the country believe real estate presented a real opportunity now, and many of the respondent said they plan to buy this year.
A Wall Street Journal interview with Cyril Moulle-Berteaux, Managing partner of NY hedge fund traxis partners LP, suggests that "the Housing market is bottoming right now". Mr. Berteaux goes on to say "compared to other housing market slowdowns, interest rates are much lower and income continued to rise". This financial expert concludes, "housing led us into this credit crisis and ...it is likely to lead us out".
My personal take on these statements: As wealthy baby boomers look towards housing needs, and realize the tremendous opportunities to purchase a lifestyle, a location or access to amenities they will begin to buy to enrich their lives - not purely on an investment basis. When want and pure enjoyment overrules a narrowly defined investment strategy the log jam will loosen for all of us.
