This is of course my first posting on Active Rain so I feel that I should make it a point to write about why I am on Active Rain.  I am a local association staff person.  I currently work for the Southern Indiana REALTORS Association in Clarksville, IN.  I recently moved to this area from Oklahoma City, OK where I was the Education Director at Oklahoma City Metro Association of REALTORS.  I really enjoy working in real estate and working to assist REALTORS with their never ending jobs.  I have to have cause in why I go to work everyday and I really do with this job.  My cause is how can I make a REALTOR'S job easier today.  I have to know that my talents can be used to accomplish this daily goal.  I truely feel that both boards I have and am working for believe in that same philosophy. 

I started to look into Active Rain because I wanted to offer information and classes on it to our members however I believe there is another reason why I am posting on this website in addition to the initial reason.  That reason is that I have to lead the way and help our members succeed in moving forward with today's technology.  Currenly here at SIRA we do not have a large number of our membership writing blogs.  I am hoping that I can help to change that.

Please let me know what resources and tips and tricks helped you when you were just getting into blogging.  I would like to compile these thoughts and put them in a training for our membership.

you made a great choice logging on here. My best advice is to blog LOCALLY. If you want your target audience in a particular town, just keep blogging on that town, or even that neighborhood, then let that neighborhood know to visit your site. You will be amazed at the results.
