THE TEN COMMANDMENTS OF GOOD BUSINESS

An associate of mine shared this with me earlier and I thought I would forward it along :-)

  • A customer is the most important person in any business
  • A customer is not dependent on us, we are dependent on him/her
  • A customer is not an interruption of our work, he is the purpose of it
  • A customer does us a favor when he/she calls, we are not doing him/her a favor by serving him/her
  • A customer is a part of our business, not an outsider
  • A customer is not a cold statistic, he/she is a flesh and blood human with feelings like our own
  • A customer is not someone to match wits with or argue with
  • A customer is a person who brings us his/her wants to fill
  • A customer is deserving of the most courteous and attentive treatment we can provide
  • A customer is the lifeblood of this and every other business

I would have to change this to "client".  There is a difference.  Good post!

Even in real estate, the "customer" deserves to be treated with the principles expressed in the above commandments.  Great post, Peter.

A really good post, Peter.  I agree, customer or client, we owe people the same respect.

Thanky you all for your responses :-) It was passed to me as "customer" since this does not only apply to real estate, but I think we all know what it meant :-)I appreciate all of your kind words.
