I received this announcement after the show had gone live.  I'm sure they will post the show for viewing later, but currently my computer isn't taking too kindly to their web site.  If anyone has heard, let us know how it went.

Hi Sara,

We had some trouble at first getting the MP3 to download, but we've gotten permission to repost it on AppraisalPress.com. It's at the very top- you can't miss it.

All the best,

In Ny the state has approved an HVCC course as appraiser continuing ed.  To me that shows that the HVCC will go into effect at least in NY.

Michael - I didn't hear that FHFA was ever against it, I just thought they jumped in so that HVCC could be a national mandate (?).

Tom - Me too (see below)

Thank you, Dan - I was able to listen to the show by right click/save target as... on the link.  That comment was meant for all the other people with goofy computers (like mine) if they were unable to just click the link.

Richard - That was very quick... too quick? I wonder how they're going to pull off that course when it's not set in stone yet.

For all readers - Listen to the talk show.  Dave Biggers does a great job explaining how the HVCC came to be and what the ramifications might be.  He starts talking about 15 minutes into the show.

When the HVCC begins, Mercury will not allow appraisers to keep there clients as Alamode and Dave say they will. All of my clients are told if they do not use an approved AMC for there appraisals the appraisal obtained from any other AMC will be automatically revied at a cost to that lender of at least $265.00 and up tp $316.00. My cleints want to keep using me but will not pay twice for my report no matter what. Alamode will not respond to this. I cant thin of any reason to continue using Alamode software and services otehrs provide for less.

Mercury and Alamode will not help appraisers

Thanks for the update.  I kind of assumed the reason we weren't hearing anymore from 'our hero' was because they had worked out a way to remain lucrative.  Please let us know if you hear any more news.
