So word thru the grape vine is that Countrywide recently recievd the VA contract. We all know Bank of American is taking over Countrywide so I was confused as to how and why??? I called me AM friends over at BofA to get to the bottom of this and they had no comment. Does anyone know who, what when where and why?? This has been a very interesting subject and very hush hush. Where I am located there are virtually no VA listings since the closest base is in Oceanside.

Also does anyone know why Ocwen lost the contract in the first place??

No, I don't know what is going on but I am also wondering.  A past client contacted me last week and advised he was marketed in the mail regarding his VA loan.  It referred to a program through Countrywide where he could change the terms or pull money out by only paying a $200 fee and filling out a 1 page form.

Wowo great information, I have heard very many mixed reviews about ocwen and unfortunately it seems like the negative ones where true. Heres to more change in this market.

FYI...Ocwen did not lose the contract. They did not rebid to renew it. Business decision.
