Are we victims of our own perception? We are constantly relaying to clients the importance of stage a vacant home. It’s difficult for most people to visualize space relationships without a base of references to go by. Empty spaces just look smaller then they really are.

Some time ago we downsized from a 3/2.5 single family home in the suburbs to a 2/2 in a high rise on a lake in downtown Orlando. Prior to moving day I thought the rooms were not going to accommodate our décor due to their small size. The vacant spaces just looked small. We were very pleasantly surprised to find out the space was not nearly as small as it looked. Turns out the living room in the high rise is bigger than in the house.

We had fallen victim to our own perception. Space can be deceiving even to professionals that work with it on a daily bases. Help people see a space for what it can be, not what it is. A vacant home will always benefit from even sparse accoutrement. Staging clears away the misperceptions of space relationships and helps people see the possibilities.

Staging is a buyer’s friendly helper. Staging shows off the possibilities. Staging provides that much needed base of reference. Stage it today, sell it tomorrow!

PS: Our initial in-home consultations are always complimentary so you have nothing to lose by contacting us today. Lets work together to get that home staged to sell!

Hi Guys ! I totally agree with you. Great story. It only goes to show you Stage It to Sell It !

Empty rooms most definitely look smaller!  I agree with you 100%. It can also be hard to visualize where all the furniture is supposed to go.  Getting this message across to homeowners and Realtors is still a challenge. They may agree, but in the next breath they say, 'but does it really affect the sale?'  We know the answer!
